Upendra's Brahma To Be Dubbed In Telugu

When director R Chandru set out to make his latest film Brahma, he felt that making it only in Kannada would not do justice to the project. "Over the years, I have established a market for my films in the Telugu industry too. My first film Taj Mahal was remade and was a big hit. Thereafter, Ko Ko was remade, and the rights for a Telugu version of Charminar have been sold. With Brahma, though, it made sense to just shoot it simultaneously in Kannada and Telugu as both my lead stars are known names in Tollywood," says Chandru.

Upendra, explains the filmmaker, has been a part of hits like Kanyadanam, Okke Maata, Raa, Neethone Vuntanu and Toss, while Pranitha has also established herself in the Telugu film industry with films like Em Pillo Em Pillado, Atharintiki Daredi and Pandavalu Pandavalu Thummeda. "So there is a sense of anticipation for audiences there to see a film starring the two actors together. Also, the fact that all three of us are known names in Tollywood, and that we have successfully blended my style of cinema, which includes heart-touching emotions, with that of Upendra's — full-on mass elements —should work in favour of the film when it releases in Andhra Pradesh later this month or in early March," adds the filmmaker.
