Television actress Sara Khan, 24, and four friends met with a car accident in Oshiwara when the car collided with the road divider and turned over late on Friday night. The accident occurred when the car, driven by a friend of the actress was ferrying the occupants home after attending a birthday party. The driver claims he swerved to avoid a dog on the road. Khan made her debut into the television world with serial Bidhai. According to Oshiwara police, the car was speeding when it hit with the divider and over turned in front of Mega Mall in Oshiwara, Andheri.
“They sustained minor bruises and injury on their limbs. It seems that driver might have been under the influence of alcohol but the preliminary medical report suggested that the person driving had not consumed alcohol,” said a police officer. The police has arrested the driver identified as Paras Vijay Kumar Chhabra, 23, for driving in rash and negligent manner.
Inspector of the Oshiwara police station, B Mukhedkar said, “Before the police reached the spot, Sara Khan and the others have left the scene. Only Chhabra was there and it appears to be a very minor incident.”
