Lenovo unveils new smartphones in India; K900 launched at Rs 32,999


Lenovo today launched a wide range of smartphones - from entry-level to high-end - in India. These smartphones include K900, P780, S920, S820, A706 and A390. At 6.9mm, the K900 is claimed to be the thinnest phone in its class and weighs 162g. The company claims that the Lenovo K900 is the first smartphone to come powered by the Intel Z2580 processor, a dual core chip, which runs up to 2.0 GHz.
The K900 has a 5.5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels. It has a Gorilla Glass 2 to protect your screen from scratches. The phone has a 13 megapixel rear camera and a 2 megapixel front camera.

Priced at Rs 32,999, the Lenovo K900 smartphone will be available at all Lenovo retail stores across India from July 2013. The phone includes 2GB of RAM, and comes with 16GB of internal storage. Running Android 4.2 OS, the phone was unveiled at the CES this year in January. The P780 is equipped with a 1.2GHz quad-core processor. It is priced at Rs 22529. The Lenovo S920 has a 5.3-inch (1280 x 720) IPS display and an 8 megapixel camera. It comes powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor. The Lenovo S920 is available for Rs 26,399.

Lenovo's S820 is also engineered with a 1.2 Ghz quad-core processor. It sports a 12 megapixel rear camera and a 2 megapixel front camera. It is priced at Rs 19,599. The A706 is engineered with a 1 GHz, quad-core processor and 1GB RAM. The phone has a 4.5-inch IPS display. The A706 carries a price tag of Rs 15,949. The Lenovo A390 has a 4-inch display with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. The A390 has 512MB of RAM and 4GB of storage, which is expandable up to 32GB. The phone has a 5 megapixel camera. The Lenovo A390 is priced at Rs 8,689. The Lenovo smartphones will be available across 3000 retail outlets in India.
