Two buildings collapse in Ajmer, no one injured

Ajmer: A seven-storey guest house in Ajmer collapsed on Sunday after being declared unsafe by civic authorities. Fortunately, no one was injured as the area had already been evacuated.

The Baba Mahal guest house was illegally built over a shop near the Ajmer Dargah to cater to the visitors who come to visit the place.

Barely 200 metres from the crowded Dargah area, the building was declared unsafe and authorities had evacuated people around the building.

Following heavy rains in Rajasthan this year, the weak foundation of the building started to give way and it started tilting to one side. The building even developed cracks and finally collapsed today at 2 pm on Sunday.
