Swami Nithyananda Sex Scandal New Twist

Nithyananda's disciples signed 'sex contracts'

In a new twist to the Swami Nithyananda sex scandal, it has now emerged that the controversial godman's disciples were forced to sign 'sex contracts'.

As per media reports, Nithyananda's Dhyanapeetam Ashram offered to unveil 'ancient tantrik secrets' if the people were ready to sign a contract giving the ashram the sanction to include nudity, sexual activity, and physical intimacy in their programmes.

“Volunteer understands that the Program may involve the learning and practice of ancient tantric secrets associated with male and female ecstasy, including the use of sexual energy for increased intimacy/spiritual connection, pleasure, harmony and freedom.

Volunteer understands that these activities could be physically and mentally challenging, and may involve nudity, access to visual images, graphic visual depictions, and descriptions of nudity and sexual activity, close physical proximity and intimacy, verbal and written descriptions and audio sounds of a sexually oriented, and erotic nature, etc," says a clause of the agreement, which has been quoted in Times of India.

The volunteers were also forced to sign 'non-disclosure agreements' prohibiting them from disclosing any of these details or taking legal action after practising 'ancient tantrik secrets'.

"By reading and signing this addendum, Volunteer irrevocably acknowledges that he/she is voluntarily giving his unconditional acceptance of such activities and discharges the Leader and the Foundation, and anyone else not specifically mentioned here but directly or indirectly involved in the organization, management or conduct of any such programs from any liability, direct or indirect, arising from such activities," the agreement adds.

The newspaper reported on Thursday, Apr 23, that the documents were seized by the Karnataka Criminal Investigation Department (CID), which is probing into the slew of allegations slapped against the godman, during raids conducted on the ashram.
