Rudd arrives in India
PRIME Minister Kevin Rudd has touched down in Delhi for his first-ever trip to India as prime minister.
Mr Rudd arrived late yesterday after an overnight visit to Afghanistan for a Remembrance Day visit to Australian troops.
He is due to spend just over 24 hours in Delhi after a stopover in Mumbai was cancelled due to concerns about an approaching cyclone.
The Rudd Government has been keen to build ties with India, the world's largest democracy with a population of 1.2 billion.
