AAP leader Manish Sisodia's Car Attacked In Gujarat

A day after clashes broke out between workers of the Aam Aadmi Party and the Bharatiya Janata Party, AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal claimed Manish Sisodia’s car was attacked in a Gujarat town on Thursday evening. “Manish's car attacked just now. His window pane smashed (sic),” Kejriwal tweeted to his 1.45 million followers at 8.38pm on Thursday. Kejriwal and his close aides are on a four-day tour of Gujarat to “expose” chief minister Narendra Modi’s “bogus development model”. “Aap vol(unteers), u shud not react at all or do any protests. Let them keep attacking us (sic),” the AAP chief posted on the microblogging website. Kejriwal on Thursday admitted his party workers indulged in violence outside the Bharatiya Janata Party headquarters in New Delhi on Wednesday. He apologised on behalf of his party workers and said the AAP would not repeat its mistake.

Sisodia alleged workers of the BJP were behind the attack on his car. “Our car attacked by bjp goons in Himmatnagar (Sabarkantha)… If BJP leaders think they can hide corruption in Gujarat by attacking my car, then they are underestimating the power of Aam Gujarati,” Sisodia tweeted. The clashes between the AAP and the BJP occurred on Wednesday evening, after the Election Commission announced that the Lok Sabha elections would begin on April 7.

Members of the AAP attacked the main office of the Opposition BJP in New Delhi. Fourteen people were later arrested for rioting and assembling illegally. Similar clashes also occurred in Lucknow, Kanpur, Jhansi and Allahabad.
